An accident caused at least 45 deaths on Sunday 1st in a mountainous region of northern India. A bus collapsed from a ravine and broke into two pieces.

The accident occurred in the Nanidhanda area, in the district of Pauri Garhwal, in the state of Uttarakhand, at 8:35 local time (00:35 Brasília time).

"The bus lost control, left the road and plunged into a deep valley.With the impact, the vehicle broke down in two parts and is now in a small river in the valley", said Deepesh Chandra Kala, local disaster manager.

The reasons for the accident are still studied.
