Cyclist Rodrigo Dias Tozo, 42, was hit and killed at a training session on Sunday (23). The athlete trained with a group of friends on the Washington-Luiz highway, in the municipality of São José do Rio Preto, where he lived, when he was hit by a vehicle. In addition to him, another athlete was also crushed. Alexander Petreca, 42, was saved and taken to the Rio Preto base hospital.
According to the State Highway Highway (PRE), the group was reached about 150 meters before km 442 and was activated at 7:30. PRE said Rodrigo was dead on the scene. According to them, the driver, 20, waited for the expertise and was released. The case must be determined by the competent authorities.
