A dairy company announced that it would build a plant in the municipality of Rio Novo do Sul, in the southern region of Espírito Santo. Laticínios Porto Alegre's CEO, João Lúcio Barreto Carneiro, was received by Governor Renato Casagrande on Thursday (17). The estimated investment is about 30 million rand.
The management of the company estimates that the new plant will be in operation until the end of the first quarter of 2020. This will be the fifth unit; there are already three in Minas Gerais and one in Rio de Janeiro.
The company now buys about 80,000 liters of milk a day from producers in Espírito Santo and, with the new plant, this number is expected to rise to 200,000 liters per day, generating around 100 direct jobs from the first moment.

The CEO of the company said that the move to the factory had already begun.
"We have already purchased equipment for this plant, we are waiting for the decision on the installation site and licenses to start the work.We think we are already operational in the first half of the year next, "he said.
The dairy company employs 1,300 people, 40 of whom are already working in Espírito Santo. Production already exceeds one million liters of milk a day.
