Rio's civilian police arrested dentist Dayan Medeiros Boechat, 23, in the interior of São Paulo. She is suspected of drug trafficking, money laundering and crimes against public health. The arrest is an offshoot of Operation Eros, the 78th DP (Fonseca), investigating a gang that is responsible for selling drugs for prohibited and banned purposes on the Internet in Brazil. Criminal activity would bring in 150,000 rand a month.
Dayane was arrested at his home in Eiji Matsumura neighborhood, in the municipality of Registro. The police also executed search and seizure warrants at other addresses related to the dentist, including his office. The suspect is the sister of Bruna Medeiros Boechat, arrested on the 8th of this month during the first phase of the Eros operation. Three other accused of gang involvement were also arrested.
The gang is accused of being responsible for the most famous and former Brazilian site for the sale of controlled and banned drugs. Ritalin (used in the intellectual doping of competitors), Rohypnol (drug used in the coup "Good Night Cinderella"), Pramil (drug used in the coup "Good Night Cinderella"), ban sales of badual stimulants in Brazil) and amfepramone (rivet used by truck drivers)
