MFA fighter Leandro Frois Lopes, 32, was found dead in the public prison of Porto Alegre at dawn on Thursday (17). He was arrested Wednesday night while he was suspected of badaulting his wife during a fight.
Leandro's wife told the police that she had taken tapas and that she had been pinched by the fighter, who had left her traces on the neck. She requested an emergency protection measure against Leandro.
The military brigade that witnessed the incident took the two men to the Pronto Atendimento police station, where the flagrante delicto was perpetrated. A deposit of R $ 5,000 has been established for Leandro. The public defender on duty should represent Leandro, he asked the police because he did not have a lawyer.
According to the Public Defender, the fighter said that he had no money to pay the bail. The defendant then asked to be brought to justice. Leandro was sent to prisons at dawn, pending the judge's decision.
A few hours later, the military brigade informed the police station that Leandro had been killed in the prison. The case will be the subject of an investigation.
