Davi Carvalho Onofre, 27, died of mud in the Comendador Venâncio district of Itaperuna, northwest of Fluminense, at dawn on Monday (3).
According to the Civil Defense, the victim was with his father, his mother and his girlfriend on the property when the land gave way. The family was not injured.
Heavy rains also hit the Raposo district on Sunday night (2).
According to the Civil Defense, it rained in the district about 91 mm, a concentration considered very high for the place. A maximum of 40 mm of rain was forecast for Sunday.
The agency also reported that no serious damage has been reported to structures or residents.
