Marcus Vinicius Ferreira da Silva, known as MV, was arrested this morning in Rua das Laranjeiras, in the southern area of the city, by agents of the police station specialized in weapons, ammunition and explosives (DESARME).
According to police officers who participated in the action, a man named Gege, who would ensure the safety of MV, was also arrested. They were in a cab on the way to the community of Santo Amaro, in Catete, Providence. A .40 caliber pistol with two carriers and 51 identical ammunition and a 5.56 rifle, two carriers and 60 ammunition were found in the vehicle.
There was a pending arrest warrant for homicide crimes, drug trafficking and illegal possession of a restricted-use weapon.
