A man opens fire inside Campinas Cathedral and leaves dead and wounded | Brazil

An armed man invaded the Campinas Metropolitan Cathedral located about 100 kilometers from São Paulo, and fired at people attending Mbad Tuesday early in the afternoon. At least five people were killed, according to the Archdiocese of Campinas, among them the gunman himself, who killed himself. Three other people were injured. It was reported that one of the wounded was dead (bringing the death toll to six), but authorities denied the information.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Campinas is located in a central part of the city, very animated at lunchtime, during the mbad. According to the municipal health department, the shooter committed suicide after firing.
