A new iPad Mini could be operational early 2019

The current iPad Mini 4 was launched for the first time in 2015 and, after almost three full years without any major upgrades, I wrote that it was maybe time to give up the hope of having a new one.

• Apple admits that the new iPad Pro tends to warp

According to information provided by China Times ] (via 9to5Mac ), the new iPad Mini could be marketed in early 2019 with a renewed standard iPad, both iPads being potentially in production before the end of the year.

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any additional information on what this new iPad Mini will look like, or details about the new features that may be available. But at the very least, it's probably safe to expect an upgraded processor (the iPad Mini 4 still uses an Apple A8 chip, 2014) and a more modern screen with thinner outlines. so fast that it would be a little surprise, Apple has renewed its tablet consumer earlier this year in April. However, the latest model of the device did not offer many new features, with the exception of a new CPU and Apple Pencil support. So, it would not be too risky for Apple to make a more complete upgrade, further aligning a standard iPad with the new iPad Pros.

According to China Times the new iPad would come with a slightly larger 10-inch screen (more than 9.7 inches from the current version), with narrower edges and a new "industrial design". Ideally, this new body of the iPad would also be more substantial than the new iPad Pros, so we do not have to tell more stories about distorted iPads.

iPads should help generate worrying sales of Apple tablets, thanks to their more affordable prices. But for all those who promote a new iPad Mini, it gives a hint of hope. And if you have been waiting for a new iPad Mini for a long time, what are still three or four months, is not it?
