Part of the asphalt has caved and a crater has opened on a busy avenue of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, at dawn this Saturday (1st). A car parked on the site was "swallowed" by the hole. The site is prohibited and, according to the Traffic Engineering Company (CET), the causes of the incident have not yet been determined.
The hole is open on Avenida Conselheiro Nébias, at number 607, in the Boqueirão district. According to CET, the car was parked when the asphalt broke and the vehicle was "swallowed". Nobody was hurt.
Vehicles from the fire department, military police and the CET were activated to attend the event. The stretch has been banned and traffic on the site is being diverted. Despite this, there is no slowness.
Near the place where the crater was opened, is a well of the enterprise responsible for basic sanitation of the city and, according to information obtained by G1 The section has undergone recent repairs to the incident, in addition to heavy rains that hit the area Friday night (30). The causes are still being eliminated.
In a note, the basic sanitation company indicated that the service was not provided by the company and was not under its responsibility.
