A security camera shows the moment when the 39-year-old city guard, Yara Cristina de Oliveira, was shot in her car at dawn on Wednesday (23) at the Centro de São Caetano do Sud, in the ABC region ( see video above ).

In one of the videos you can see a man walking down the street with a backpack and approaching Yara's parked car. According to the police, he allegedly attempted to steal the vehicle and shot when he realized that the victim was in uniform. He escaped shortly after the shots.

The suspect, Jose Arinello Wanderley, was arrested shortly after the crime. Wanderley had already been arrested for trafficking and badociation with the crime. He was released in August 2018 after serving part of his sentence.

The guard was hit by four bullets in the chest area and rescued by a Samu ambulance, but could not resist injury.
