A 71-year-old man, suspected of abusing his 7-year-old granddaughter, was arrested on Friday (18 years) in the Josane neighborhood of Sorocaba, São Paulo State. . The child's mother called the police after she caught her grandfather mistreating the girl in the house pool.
According to the police, the mother left the child to her parents around 1 pm to go to a medical appointment. Upon her return, shortly after 6 pm, the woman asked about the girl to her mother, who told her that she was at the bottom of the house with her grandfather.
The mother found the girl inside a swimming pool containing the grandfather's bads. Still according to the police, the man was holding the hands of the child.
Seeing the scene, the woman shouted after her father and took her daughter out of the pool. She talked about the badual abuse perpetrated against the grandmother of the child and called the police. The grandfather of the girl was taken to the police station, where an occurrence bulletin was registered for the rape of a vulnerable person. The old man was arrested.
