According to the ministry, 37 cities are on alert or at risk of contracting dengue, zika and chikungunya

According to Ministry data, this total, 35 are on the alert and two are at risk of epidemics. 187 others are in satisfactory condition. The capital Teresina is one of those that are in a satisfactory situation. In Piauí, most breeding sites were found in a water reservoir (367), followed by households (71) and garbage (11).

Still according to the Member States, all the capitals of the country presented one of the mosquitoes. : 25 realized the LIRAa; and two, traps. The municipalities of Curitiba (PR), Teresina (PI), Florianópolis (SC), São Paulo (SP), Macapá (AP), Maceió (AL), Fortaleza (CE) and Aracaju (SE).

In 2017, 1,612,862 properties in the capital were inspected and 107,831 of them were treated with larvicide. A total of 373,440 deposits were eliminated.

The capitals whose indices are on alert are: Manaus (AM), Belo Horizonte (MG) Recife (PE), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brasilia (DF), São Luís. MA), Belém (PA), Vitória (ES), Salvador (BA), Porto Velho (RO), Goiânia (GO) and Campo Grande (MS)

) Cuiabá (MT) and Rio Branco (AC) are risk of epidemics of dengue, zika and chikungunya due to the presence of an index of predator infestation (PII) equal to or greater than 4%. Natal (RN) and Porto Alegre (RS) capitals conducted the trap survey. All forms of data collection took place between October and November of this year.
