An attempted robbery at a bank at about 7:15 ended with at least 10 deaths in the municipality of Milagres, in the Cariri region, 487 km from Fortaleza. The gang of thieves was apprehended by the police at the time of the criminal proceedings.

The Ceara Tribune revealed that one of the victims was João Batista Magalhaes, owner of a computer store in the town of Serra Talhada, in Pernambuco.
