One of the biggest concerns of those who come to buy a new cellphone is to protect the camera with film and hood to prevent any damage. However, an engineering student from the University of Aalen in Germany seems to have found a solution for mobile phone crashes: an airbag for smartphones.
As reported by the motherboard, Philip Frenzel developed a hood with a kind of airbag breaking the screen of your phone in a fall. The accessory has flexible arms that are hidden in its structure and are activated when the sensors detect that the device is in free fall.
On notice of the fall, the four rubber arms are activated and absorb the impact, preventing the smartphone flat on the ground. Check out the video of the work device:
