Amazon is investing in the development of a platform for streaming games. According to Business Insider information, the new product will be similar to Sony's PlayStation Now, where users pay for games of the same model as those practiced by Amazon's streaming movies and series, such as Netflix and Prime Video. Jeff Bezos' company is already in contact with the biggest game developers, the site said. The new service, which has not yet been officially confirmed, should be launched by 2020.
While keeping the mystery open, several job offers in the company in Game-related domains, such as a gaming platform engineer, indicate Amazon's movement in this market.
Technological development is a differential. Amazon is one of the few companies to have a fully operational cloud storage infrastructure, a type of tool needed to develop streaming in games.
Jeff Bezos is not the only one interested in this new field. Since last year, Microsoft and Google are also developing cloud storage projects for use in streaming games.
