What appeared to be another Amazon business day ended in an accident that even the books could not predict in the history of the e-commerce giant, to the misfortune of warehouse employees New Jersey.
An Amazon robot opened an insect-proof bomb on bears and poisoned 24 workers on Wednesday (Dec. 5), with one of the employees still in critical condition at the hospital.
The call center of Amazon in the city of Robbinsville employs more than 3,000 people. A preliminary investigation has determined that the bear repellent, which looks like a spray of pepper spray against aggressive or bears, has fallen off a shelf. A spokesman for Robbinsville however explained that an automated machine was puncturing the box by releasing its toxic gases.
Amazon sells different types of repellents to bear through its online commerce website.
All affected employees must be released from the hospital within the next 24 hours.
