André Esteves, founder of Banco BTG Pactual, will return to the bank's control group after the acquittal of corruption charges, according to a statement sent to the CVM (Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission) on Friday. ] Esteves was arrested in November 2015 as part of the Lava Jato operation, after prosecutors accused him of attempting to buy the silence of the former director from Petrobras, Nestor Cerveró.
