Anvisa suspends cosmetics with manufacturing problems

After an inspection of health surveillance, Anvisa last Friday (6) suspended the beauty products of two companies in the sector by noting errors in the manufacturing process.

Viavip Cosméticos Ltda. all of its cosmetic products have been suspended due to production problems and a lack of compliance with good manufacturing practices in cosmetics.

Another affected company is Palmindaya Cosméticos Ltda., Which had six products suspended after manufacturing proof outside the approved specifications, with a change in the pH range (used to measure the level of acidity of the substances) . They are:

• After Barba Sport Lotion (all batches manufactured in 2017)
• After Barba Lotion With Aloe Vera (all batches manufactured in 2017)
• After Barba Sport Lotion (all batches manufactured in 2017)
• Palmindaya Mentholado Shaving Cream, lot 593, manufactured on 20/07/2017
• Palmindaya Moisturizing Cream of Cucumber Extract, lot 0083, manufactured on 27/04/2017
