Apple is one of the most valuable companies in the world and produces highly sought-after smartphones by the public. It's no wonder that the company's devices still rank among the world's best-selling smartphones. Now, a new poll by Counterpoint indicates that the iPhone 8 was the best-selling phone in the world.
According to what was revealed, with 2.4% of sales, the iPhone 8 – which is the most expensive model announced by Apple in 2017 – was the world's best-selling smartphone during the month from May. In second place is the Galaxy S9 Plus, also with 2.4%. Finishing TOP 3, we have the iPhone X accounting for 2.3% of sales.
Another feature that deserves to be mentioned is that Apple is the company with the most smartphones in the TOP 10 with three devices. In addition to iPhones 8 and X, we can also find the iPhone 8 Plus in fifth place. Samsung has shipped two devices: Galaxy S9 Plus in the second and Galaxy S9 in sixth place. Finally, we also have several Chinese brands, such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Huawei.
Apple's smartphones are regularly ranked among the world's best-selling handsets lists, and for this reason, this is not a novelty. In a previous poll, it was revealed that the iPhone X had been the world's third-best-selling handset in April, losing to Galaxy S9 Plus and Galaxy S9. However, with all the marketing done by Apple, sales of iPhones have managed to overcome Samsung's high-end again.
