A study by researchers at Appthority, a mobile security company, showed that millions of users' pbadwords, locations and financial information were exposed by many applications. The survey has badyzed a multitude of applications that we use on our smartphones and found vulnerabilities on Android and iOS systems.
App 7/7 million applications have been reviewed by Appthority. Those who had exposed user data had services hosted on Firebase, a popular cloud platform that was acquired by Google in 2014.

There n & # There is not much open information on the platform. 2.6 million user connections and pbadwords, 25 million GPS locations and 50,000 records of financial transactions in the application were found by the researchers. There are up to four million protected health information, such as private conversations and medical prescriptions.
The survey also notes that the personal data displayed is not protected by firewalls or authentication systems. To access the vulnerable database, the hacker would only have to type a command at the end of the name of the application hosted on Firebase.
In total, the vulnerability involves more than 100 million user information, out of a total of 113 GB of data exposed.
The company did not disclose the names of the applications concerned, but said that these are multi-category applications, among them the message, finance, health and travel. Apps come from many parts of the world.
The researchers said that they had warned Google before publishing the study. They even provided the company with a complete list of hazardous applications, as well as contact with the applications themselves.
