The civil police arrested the morning of Tuesday (18) Renato Nascimento Santos, known as "Renatinho Problema", in Maricá, in the metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro.
According to the civilian police, the warrant does not refer to the investigation of the Marielle, Franco and Anderson Gomes case. However, an investigation will be opened to see if "Renatinho Trouble" participated in the murder of the PSOL counselor, as she was a member of the Orlando Curicica militia, cited in an indictment related to the case and currently in a maximum security prison in Rio.
In an interview with GloboNews, delegate Carla Tavares, head of the 82nd police station, said that Renato had denied involvement in the crime but had confessed that he was a driver of Orlando Curicica. Carla testified that the suspect was with his girlfriend when he was arrested and that, in addition, two firearms were found in his residence.
Marielle and pilot Anderson Gomes were killed in Estácio, a neighborhood in downtown Rio, on March 14th.
