Atlético-PR launched on Tuesday the new visual identity of the club, with changes in the spelling of the team, the uniform and the shield. The club has also launched a new mascot, the "hurricane family". The changes will not be used this Wednesday when Atletico-PR will face the Junior Barranquilla in the Cup final of South America.
The recovery of the letter "H" for the name of the club is among the main changes. In defense of the amendment, President Mario Celso Petraglia recalled that his goal is to save the past. Atletico-PR therefore calls the Athletic Club Paranaense as it was founded in 1924.
– In our new identity, we also propose to save the past. We started with Club Athletico. We must also badume that Atlético is the Atlético Mineiro. We want to use our name of registration. We changed course, but nothing was recorded, "said Petraglia during the presentation of the event.

Another big change regards the shield of the team, which is now formed of four ascending bands and the acronym CAP completing the format.
According to Giovanni Vannucchi, representative of OZ, responsible for creating the new visual identity, the shield brings together ideas from the wind of the hurricane, details of the flag of the State of Paraná and a concept of growth . According to him, a survey conducted showed that it was necessary to further connect the club to a hurricane.
The new shirt redefines the idea of the shield and the black stripes lose their protagonism. The main uniform is red with four bands on the left corner. The second uniform is white and obeys the same shape, with fading stripes.

The event was attended by about 500 people, among club counselors, guests, supporters and players. The project has slogans "Ambition", "Enthusiasm", "Rebellion" and "Innovation", and the club defines the moment as "the beginning of a new era".
The changes made by Atletico-PR are not as radical as the club's president, Mario Celso Petraglia, who even said that the study even predicted the color change of the symbols. Petraglia said in an interview that he would even change the name of Atletico-PR in Paranaense, in order to differentiate the other clubs of the same name, including Atletico-MG.
