This Friday (08) marked the beginning of Yellow's operations in Espírito Santo, but the service was banned even before it had worked. The municipality of Vila Velha seized all the bicycles in the street, claiming that the São Paulo company was not allowed to implement it on the territory of the municipality.
With the idea of promoting individual urban mobility solutions, Yellow offers the bike sharing service in the dockless system (without pick-up and drop-off station), worth R $ 1 all the 10 minutes. The novelty would be installed today in Praia de Itaparica, in Vila Velha.
According to information from the City Hall, this is an intensive use of the road for commercial purposes, which must meet the required conditions of license. The company has not requested such municipal authorizations. As a result, all the parked bikes were immediately recovered, under penalty of fine and seizure of the irregular material.
