A Bolivian doctor was arrested early this afternoon (19) in Guajará-Mirim (RO), a municipality 330 kilometers from Porto Velho. Roberth Mendoza Guzman, 48, is believed to have raped at least 12 patients aged 15 to 30 years. The victims come from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
The surgeon is arrested by agents of the specialized unit at the border and by the military police of the mobile tactical patrol (Patamo), in Rondônia. The police did not reveal the circumstances under which the doctor had been arrested.
Then Roberth followed the federal police station of the region. He has been wanted by the Bolivian National Police since last year. G1 could not get in touch with the doctor and there is no information about the suspect's defense attorney.
