President Jair Bolsonaro signed Friday the interim measure to combat fraud at the INSS. The text, which is to be published this Friday in an additional edition of the Official Journal, modifies the rules for granting benefits, such as detention, and encourages the review of benefits in the event of suspicion of irregularities in the social Security.
the new MP is expected to generate savings of R9.8 billion in the first year of efficiency. Onyx Lorenzoni, Chief Minister of the Civil House, said several irregularities had been identified by the Federal Audit Office and the Office of the Federal Comptroller General with regard to the benefits granted. "One of the goals set by the government is to create mechanisms to fight against these frauds and make the system more efficient," said Onyx.
