President-elect Jair Bolsonaro participated this morning (17) in the inauguration of the 3rd Military Police College of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Percy Geraldo Bolsonaro. The name of the school is a tribute to his father, who died in 1995.
This tribute was paid by the mayor of Duque de Caxias, Washington Reis, as a result of a contract signed between the military police and the town hall. The college will begin operations in February 2019.
In addition to Bolsonaro, the elected senator and deputy, Flávio Bolsonaro (PSL) and the elected governor of Rio Wilson Witzel also attended the ceremony.
At the solemn ceremony, Bolsonaro thanked this honor and said that the military colleges "are ahead of the quality" of other Brazilian schools.
The elected president also stressed that the country should exercise "authority" and "hierarchy".
"He [seu pai] was not a teacher, but at that time, authority was exercised." This has been left out. "This model will be extended to other municipalities in Rio de Janeiro," he said.
