BRAZIL – President Jair Bolsonaro said Thursday in an interview with "SBT" that he knew that Fabricio Queiroz, a former adviser to his son Flávio, was selling cars and "making rolls". This is the explanation presented by Queiroz on the treatment of 1.2 million R $ per year, considered atypical by the Board of Control of Financial Activities (Coaf).

– He said that he was selling cars, I know he was succeeding. Now, who will have to answer, it's him. The Coaf speaks in an atypical movement, that does not mean that it is illegal, irregular. It may be, "he commented.

Bolsonaro said that Queiroz "had always had every confidence in him," but had pointed out that he preferred not to contact him after the settlement of the case.

– Until it proves otherwise, I do not intend to talk to him. Plus, if I'm going to talk to him, they'll tell me that I'm trying to advise him on one thing or another. I do not want to contact him until everything is settled.

Queiroz systematically received bank transfers and deposits from eight employees who were or are employed in the Flávio parliamentary office in Alerj. It is suspected that the case is a departure from the advisers' salaries, but there is no indication to date that Flávio Bolsonaro has been declared irregular.

Among the atypical movements recorded by the Coaf, there is also the clearing of a check for R $ 24,000 paid to the first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro, in addition to the cash withdrawals. The president-elect says the check is part of the payment of a $ 40,000 R $ debt.

The former counselor twice failed to testify before the federal Department of the Public Service to clarify the financial movement, alleging a health problem. In an interview with SBT, Mr. Queiroz stated that the monetary value that he had dealt with in his accounts was the result of the purchase and sale of used vehicles and that it was not worth the money. cancer prevented him from testifying.

He did not explain why he had received so many deposits of Flávio advisers on his account, nor the origin of the money. He simply stated that he would clarify the matter for the prosecution and that the former counselor had also asked to exonerate Jair Bolsonaro.
