The elected president also addressed the issue of "disavowal" in Venezuela. According to sources at Itamaraty, the Bolsonaro team had initially recommended inviting heads of state and government from all countries with which Brazil maintains diplomatic relations. It was only afterwards that the Foreign Ministry was asked to exclude Cuba and Venezuela from the list, which forced it to make a second communication to both governments, so deprecated ". In the video, Bolsonaro said the "best way to support the Venezuelan people" is not to invite Maduro.
– We do not invite either the Cuban dictator or the Venezuelan dictator. After all, it's a celebration of democracy. There are no elections there and when they exist, they are suspected of fraud. So it does not matter to us, "adds Bolsonaro.
Referring to Cuba, Bolsonaro reiterated his criticisms of the participation of the Caribbean country in the Mais Médicos program. Without presenting any evidence, he stated that some of the members were not doctors but officials responsible for "forced labor".
– The first 200 who left were Cuban agents or members of the army. They were here to watch and take care of the slave labor practiced by them (Cubans) with the connivance of the PT and they left because they could be controlled by us. We have confirmation that they had nothing to do with drugs, "says the former captain.
In November, after the president-elect announced his intention to change the terms of the collaboration with this Caribbean country, Havana decided to withdraw from the program in force for five years, which allows medical doctors to work in the country. Other countries work in areas where there are health professionals. The majority of the program (51%) came from Cuba, as a result of a partnership agreement between the Brazilian Ministry of Health and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
Immigration Pact
Bolsonaro also spoke of the announcement made by the future foreign minister, Ernesto Araújo, last week, that Brazil should withdraw from the UN pact on immigration in 2019. Brazilian participation in the Global Compact Safe, orderly and regular migration was confirmed at a conference bringing together representatives from 164 countries in Marrakech, Morocco, last week.
– You know the history of these people. They have something in them that does not give up its roots. They want to badert their culture, their rights and their privileges. France suffers from this.
