SÃO PAULO – The President-elect
Jair Bolsonaro
(PSL) admitted Wednesday night that he was willing to "pay the bill" if the investigation revealed an irregularity in the treatment of R $ 1.2 million between 2016 and 2017 by Fabrício José Carlos de Queiroz , former advisor to his son
Flávio Bolsonaro
. Bolsonaro said that the case
"It hurts my heart
"Because, according to him," the firmest (in his project of government) is the fight against corruption ".
– If something is wrong with me, my son or Queiroz, pay the bill for this mistake. We can not commune with anyone's mistake, "said Bolsonaro during a live talk from Facebook, which lasted 16 minutes.
Queiroz is quoted in a report by the Financial Activities Control Board (Coaf) attached to the Operation Furna da Onça, which last month arrested Rio deputies. The volume of funds managed on their bank account was considered atypical. Among the changes contained in the report is a $ 24,000 check paid to the future first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro.
The Coaf Report also mentions that Queiroz's account was reinstated by eight employees and former employees of Flávio's firm. The agency listed other members of the cabinet of the Legislative Assembly of Rio (Alerj) who had an atypical movement. The Attorney General's office in Rio has ongoing procedures to investigate any irregularities committed by members of the Assembly, based on the Coaf report. The member does not say whether Queiroz's financial transactions are being investigated.
In the Facebook issue, however, the elected president reaffirmed that neither he nor the son nor the counselor were the subject of an investigation. Bolsonaro said Queiroz would be heard next week. Although he noted that the case of the former advisor was the result of a leak, Bolsonaro said that he was not against it.
– I'm not against leaking no, everything has to run away. Nor should I have anything reserved, expose everything and come to the conclusion. Does it hurt my heart? It hurts. what we have more firm is the fight against corruption.
The elected president said that "everything that will happen" in his administration will use all the weapons to fight corruption crimes, including the Coaf which revealed the transfer to the bank account of the old adviser to Flávio Bolsonaro.
Whatever happens, as long as I'm president, we will fight corruption with all the government's weapons, including Coaf himself, who will visit the Department of Justice next year. – said
Bolsonaro only spoke about Coaf at the end of the show and called the investigation "a problem ahead".
– We have a problem ahead of us, the case of one of our former atypical movement advisers. I say very clearly that I am not the subject of an investigation. My son Flávio Bolsonaro has not been the subject of an investigation. And as far as I know, our former advisor will be heard by the judge next week. We expect from him appropriate explanations.
