The former governor of Rio Sérgio Cabral (MDB) was dumb on an interrogation this Friday 14 (14th) before the 7th Federal Criminal Court.
The hearing is related to Operation Final Point, unfolding of Lava Jato in Rio, under the leadership of Judge Marcelo Bretas.
"I will choose to remain silent," Cabral said during the interrogation that began an hour late.
At the hearing and at the request of the defense, Judge Marcelo Bretas allowed Sérgio Cabral to meet with members of his family. He found his parents and son, José Eduardo, from their first marriage.
- According to the Federal Prosecution (MPF), the criminal organization headed by Cabral received 145 million rand from the transport sector between 2010 and 2016.
The information was confirmed, two days earlier, by the businessman Jacob Barata Filho.
The former governor responded to 26 lawsuits and was sentenced nine times, 198 years in federal court in Paraná and Rio de Janeiro.

Barata, nicknamed the "king of the buses", testified in the case, but did not specify whether the value was made up of contributions or campaign advice. Cabral's lawyer, Rodrigo Roca, denies the crimes and says that the businessman has not presented any evidence during the testimony.

The businessman Jacob Barata Filho confirmed during a hearing in front of the Federal Court Wednesday (12) the payment of about 145 million rand to the former governor Sérgio Cabral between 2010 and 2016.
The businessman did not not specified what this payment was. and what was used for the campaign of the former governor.
Barata is under house arrest and is nicknamed "The King of Buses" because of his status as the leading figure in road transport in the state.
