Catanduva announces first death for H3N2 flu of the year

Catanduva recorded the first death for H3N2 of the year. The victim was 46 years old, lived in Novais and was hospitalized at Emílio Carlos Hospital.
The patient was hospitalized from 7 June and was diagnosed with influenza-like illness and severe acute respiratory syndrome. "There was complication of the condition, due to bacterial pneumonia, caused by the disease, evolving into septic shock and dying at dawn on June 28," reports the medical bulletin of the infectious disease to the Emilio Carlos Hospital, Silvio César Ribeiro
Catanduva recorded this year, four other deaths of H1N1. As in the case of yesterday, the patients were residents of the region (Paraíso, Ariranha, Potirendaba and Pindorama).
The latest flu bulletin published by the Catanduva Health Department indicates that the city of Feitiço has 44 confirmed cases this year. Most are H1N1 with 33 positive diagnoses. Here is H3 / seasonal with 10 patients infected with the virus and thirdly a record of influenza B.
