Christmas will be happier for two girls in Mexico. Dayami, the eldest, aged 8, sent Santa Claus a gift card attached to a red balloon, which was entrusted to a mountaineer from Arizona in the United States.

According to the Washington Post, Randy Heiss was walking near his farm in Patagonia, Arizona, when he found traces of the already faded balloon and a piece of paper attached to him.

The childish handwriting and the numbered list of wishes left Heiss to believe that the message accompanied by the name of Dayami was meant for the "good old man". So he decided to go out and find the girl.

Considering factors such as the direction and speed of the wind, the climber badumes that the balloon would come from Nogales, Mexico, about thirty kilometers away.

He contacted a local Nogales radio station to ask for help to find the little girl – and it worked.

Heiss and his wife were with the girls and introduced themselves as Santa's helpers so as not to spoil the magic of Christmas. They not only bought every wish on the list, they also gave gifts to Dayami's younger sister.
