(Photo: Divulgação) – On Monday (2), the issuance of the National Digital Driving License (CNH) became mandatory in all Brazilian states. 24 states have already offered to issue CNH Digital before being forced to do so.
With the virtual version, the driver can access the document by mobile phone and avoid fines, especially in case of forgetting the home wallet.
The print version will continue to be released. To request the digital wallet, it is necessary to have the current paper document template, released from May 2017, with the QR code inside.
Who does not have the new model must update the traditional CNH before ordering
It is not mandatory to have a digital certificate (electronic signature with the same validity of physical signature), but who should not go to a unit of the Traffic Department (Detran) to confirm personal data. It should be noted that the application of CHN Digital is free, but it is up to each state to decide whether or not to invoice the issuance of the document.
