The Ministry of Education has withdrawn from a call for tenders for the purchase of textbooks to represent the ethnic and cultural diversity of the country and its commitment in favor of non-violence against women.
It was also deleted from the edict that the works contained no revision or printing error and that the books did not include any trademarks, products or services.
The editorial, whose first version was published in March 2018, contains guidelines for the acquisition of works intended for the 6th and 9th years of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Janeiro.
The amendments were published in the Official Gazette of January 2, 2019.

Changes to these documents are common. The change of January 2 is the fifth editorial held, the first under the government of President Jair Bolsonaro.

- Errors in Printing – In its October version, the edict indicated that the work should "be free of revision and / or printing".
- Bibliographical references – Another section, which is no longer in the edict, stated that the book should "include bibliographic references".
- Propaganda – The party requiring the work to be "free of advertising, trademarks, products or commercial services, unless it falls under the version. October indicated that the books should "adequately represent the ethnic diversity of the Brazilian population, the social and cultural plurality of the country."
- Ethnic Diversity – This excerpt was also removed from the notice.
- Non-Violence Against Women – The edict update merged three articles from the previous version, deleting, for example, excerpts requiring a commitment in favor of nonviolence towards women.In the excerpt that speaks of positive promotion of women, people of African descent and indigenous peoples, the expression "men of the field" appeared in the previous version.
