Chevrolet unveiled the details of Spin's 2019 line, which has been redesigned for the first time since it was launched in Brazil in 2012. The front has got headlights with LED daytime running lights, a grille and a bumper redesigned, which is quite reminiscent of the Cobalt, while at the back, the lanterns now bring a horizontal design and that the niche of the plate goes from the bumper, also new, to the trunk lid. Inside, in addition to the new coatings, the Spin displays a new dashboard, which continues to display badog, pointer, and no longer digital speedometer on the old screen of the background blue which also displayed the information of the on-board computer.
Speaking of this screen, now it is smaller and has a black background with white numbers. In addition, in the seven-seat versions, the second row of seats becomes sliding, which allows you to increase or decrease the available space in the third row. The second row can be moved 50 mm forward or 60 mm rearward. On line 2019, the van now offers Isofix hooks for attaching child seats, three-point seat belts on all seats and head restraints also in the middle of the second row. The Activ version left the steppe attached to the trunk lid, now moved to the ground, as it has already done in other configurations. The mechanical part continues unchanged, maintaining the 1.8 flex engine of 111 hp and 17.7 kgf.m, accompanied by manual or automatic gearbox, always with six gears. In the case of the ATM machine, the manufacturer indicates that it has been recalibrated to provide more flexible changes. For now, GM has decided to unveil only Spin Activ – the rest of the line will be featured at an event early July with all the awards.
