A Datafolha survey published Monday (14) by the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo indicates that 84% of Brazilians are in favor of reducing the age of crime from 18 to 16 years. According to the survey, 14% are opposed to a change in the law, 2% are indifferent or do not have any opinion.

According to the newspaper, the survey was conducted between December 18 and 19, 2018 and heard 2,077 people in 130 counties. The margin of error is 2 percentage points, plus or minus.

    The text states that teens aged 16 to 18 must cease to be illegal if they voluntarily commit murder (when they intend to kill), lesions corporal followed by death and heinous crimes (rape, for example), and over 18 years.
