Drake has a lot to show on "Scorpion". It's not that his fifth album, released on Friday (29), is bland – both in the music and in the subjects he is talking about. The problem is that the right base is diluted in the middle of useless tapes.
We expect him: all the other albums are long. But the 90 minutes of "Scorpion" are a personal best. Everything is exaggerated: 33 producers help the Canadian walk away from Mariah Carey; from experimental rap to pop.
The most talked about songs are "Do not matter to me," which uses the unpublished vocals of Michael Jackson, and "Emotionless" and "March 14" in which Drake confirms that he has a son with a bad actress. Suspicion was quoted immediately with rapper Pusha T this year.
"Scorpion" is presented as a "double disc", which makes no sense for the vast majority of streaming listeners. At least, it serves a little to guide the audition: the first part is more rap, the second more melodic. There is a good thing and it is writhing on both sides.
Among the best songs, we find those in which he joined 2018 until the 90s, with samples taken from rap and r & b of that time and serious bases and a current style of production. The dance "Nice for What", with an excerpt from Lauryn Hill ("Ex-factor") is an example:
She also has a partnership with Jay-Z "Talk Up", between synthesizers and a sample of " Dopeman "" of the NWA (the late 1980s) Another bridge between the past and the present is "Emotionless", which uses a Mariah Carey voice of "Emotions."
While Mariah juggles with her voice, Drake confirms the rumor that she would have had a child with bad star Sophie Brussaux. The story started on the TMZ website and surfaced earlier this year when rapper Pusha T, l & rsquo; Drake's enemy, published a song about his son, Adonis.
First of all, "Emotionless" creates the scene of a bad world, where people only care about of themselves and their images on social networks

In the last song, "March 14", he returns to talk about his son, even more openly. "She's not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine," he says while parodying Michael Jackson's clbadic.
"It breaks my mind / Single – I hate hearing / I'm asking my parents about all the discs / Now I'm embarrbaded to say that I ended up alone / I've always promised a family together / I wanted to be different because But that's the hard truth now.
"March 14" ends sadly, picking up a lament present throughout the album. he's going to show how much Drake is rich and prosperous, he remembers that this only pleases the selfish people. It's the annoying message of "I'm angry":
"No matter to me" is a surprise legal: long after the death of Michael Jackson, I suspected that any unpublished material would be something very punctual or rude
But it's not just a little song Michael: it's a meadow -refrain, a cute chorus, and always a toast. The romantic tone brings the song into the e group "I'm sad" from the album.
At least he is not dragged as "Is there more," with a strange and philosophical letter. Another dispensable is "Sandra's Rose", which shows well the size of Drake's ego: Sandra's music is her mother, and her rose is, of course, the singer herself.
Not that Drake has any reason to take the wave, nor that "Scorpion" is by no means a guaranteed success (see the single "God's Plan" previously published). But instead of listening to the whole record, better join it with the other good ones and put in the good old repetition.
Another uninspired group has raised doubts in Brazil. In "Ratchet Happy Birthday", he quotes the name Anita. Did Drake exalt the Brazilian Anitta in a song?
