The boy who was born after an emergency birth after his mother was shot in a trawler at Duque de Caxias, in the state of Baixada Fluminense, on Sunday night (30), is in a bad state. The family was treated at Adão Pereira Nunes Hospital.
The child, named David, was born prematurely after the emergency birth of Veronica Sousa Silva, 27, who did not stand up to her injuries. The boy's father, 68-year-old prison officer Jose Carlos da Rocha, died of five gunshots in his chest. Police said he had reacted to the robbery and that the criminals had shot him.
In all, at least seven of them were killed in a fire in Sarapuí, in the city of Duque de Caxias, Brazil.
