At a three-party meeting with President-elect Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) on Wednesday (12), the DEM bench and summit established a formal alliance with the government.
According to members of the legend, the DEM commits itself to fulfill only formalities such as to gather the regional leaders and the executive to announce that it will be part of the base of the government.
"Things are moving in this direction," DEM President ACM Neto said at the end of the meeting at the CCBB (Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil), seat of the transitional government.

His presence would indicate a negotiation between the support of Bolsonaro to Maia in exchange for the DEM's accession to the government and the party's summit would like to avoid this interpretation.
The term stipulated by ACM Neto for the finalization and announcement of the agreement, "The beginning of next year", suggests that we can expect in the election of the presidency of the House.
"The government will have all our support to change the way of directing political relations between the executive and the National Congress," said ACM Neto, who is also Mayor of Salvador.
The elected governor of Goiás, Senator Ronaldo Caiado reinforced the identification with Bolsonaro's antipotism. "The trend is for us to walk with what has been our agenda for 14 years – it's a reality," he said.
ACM Neto avoided showing his dissatisfaction with Bolsonaro's delay in sitting with party leaders. Asked that the appointment of three ministers does not guarantee membership, the DEM president replied that "even if the party did not have a servant in the ministry, imagine three ministers, we could support the government."
