Facebook admitted this week another problem involving the privacy of its users. This time, the company claims that a software error caused the unlocking contacts of people that users had already marked as unwanted on the social network.
The failure occurred between May 29 and June 5, and it affected approximately 800,000 users worldwide on Facebook and Messenger:

It is not clear yet why the company took so long to correct the problem. Even so, Facebook claims that it is now notifying users concerned to check their blocking list:
To this day, we inform more than 800,000 users of a Facebook bug and Messenger that has unlocked some people that they have blocked
According to the social network, the measure is only a precaution because the bug has already been fixed and the locks restored . It should be noted that this failure was reported shortly after the social network faced another problem involving the data exposure of 120 million users.
