A security hole in the Twitter application has recently exposed messages from several users. The anomaly has revealed many tweets marked as private in the timeline of the microblog. The accident occurred only on Android; users of an iPhone have not been affected. Direct messages are not disclosed, only private account tweets.
In a statement in the official profile, the company apologizes for pledging to investigate and prevent this from happening again. The statement warns:
We regret very much that this has happened and we are conducting a thorough badysis to prevent this from happening again. We inform people affected by this issue and reactivate the tweets protection option if it is disabled in user accounts
Twitter has not reported the number of people affected by the bug .
