Fitz Roy: Cachoeirense tells in a message how his death and that of his minor friend were told

The bodies of experienced mountaineers Fabrício Amaral ] And Leandro Ianotta Better known as Beans were found at Fitz Roy iconic mountain of Argentine Patagonia. The two men were reported missing on Jan. 19 after a major storm that also killed a Czech mountaineer who died of hypothermia on the spot.

The days that followed the disappearance of the Brazilians were very distressing for the mountaineering community. in Brazil and also a lot of misinformation and speculation, announcing the tragic attempt to escalate Fitz Roy from leaving the specific medium and having a big repercussion on the traditional media.

Even with the bad weather of the days that followed the disappearance. of the pair, there were two attempts to search for four different teams. Due to poor weather conditions, one of the volunteers suffered an accident and had to be saved in very difficult conditions and he is still hospitalized.

After all this time, Leandro's body was found on a snow ramp at the top of Silla, a vast plateau located to the south-east of Fitz Roy and Fabrício, on a bivouac located at the top of the Gap of the Italians near the point of recall (see photo below). According to the Escalada blog, the information would have been revealed earlier in the week, according to which the hanged bodies were fake.

The Aventura Chaltén site today published an interview with the Brazilians, Roberto Pavani Who was in Silla on February 2 with Renato Pbados . Fabrício and Leandro were great mountaineers, having in their mountain training program countless climbs on traditional routes of great complexity and great commitment. Fitz Roy's accident surprised the entire mountaineering community, causing great commotion in the middle.
