After almost all, Fluminense was unable to recruit midfielder Marquinhos Gabriel, who belongs to Corinthians, but who was loaned to Al-Nasrr (United Arab Emirates). The player would come to the Tricolor alongside Moisés in the case between the São Paulo club and Ecuadorian midfielder Sornoza, but the exchange eventually melted at the last moment.
The Tricolor still dreams of having Marquinhos Gabriel in May, at the end of the UAE League. His possible trip to Laranjeiras would still be part of Sornoza's sale to Corinthians and the clubs are talking about the player's release in the middle of the year to defend Fluminense. The final decision will however belong to the athlete himself, and the player's relatives feel that it is unlikely to go to Rio de Janeiro.
If the flu shakes hands and does not receive Marquinhos Gabriel or gives any name in return, the Tricolor entitles to an additional predetermined value of Corinthians, something like a credit. This agreement, incidentally, would be one of the reasons for the delay in the announcement of Sornoza, which should happen soon. Therefore, Fluminense would use this value to search for another athlete in the market.
