Students who have pbaded the National High School Examination (Enem) from the 2010 edition can participate and get a grade.
At the time of registration, it is possible to choose up to three course options among those for which vacations are available in the group of preferences, also chosen by the student. according to their profile and interest.
Modalities
Fies proposes two modalities. The first is zero-rated funding for students whose monthly family income is less than three minimum wages per capita .
The second is the so-called P-Fies, intended for students whose monthly family income is less than or equal to five (minimum wage) per capita . The modality works with resources from constitutional and development funds and resources from participating private banks.

The pre-selection result referring to the selection process for the first half of 2019 for the Fies and P-Fies category will be announced on February 25th.
Shortlisted candidates in the Fies category must access the Fies selection and complete the registration to enter the funding in the system, during the period from February 26th to March 7th. Pre-selection of participants on the waiting list will take place from February 27 to April 10.
