Fumacê fights mosquitoes in neighborhoods and neighborhoods of Cachoeiro

In the last ten days, the fight against mosquitoes in Cachoeiro has been reinforced by a smoke vehicle. During this period, eight neighborhoods, districts and rural towns of the municipality were treated with insecticides and, in the coming weeks, 17 other sites with a higher infestation rate will be visited

Itaoca, Correre Vermelho , Coutinho, Conduru, Aeroporto, Boa Vista, Coramara and Elpidio Volpini (Wallonia) were the first places on the road to smoke and, the following week, receive the second visit, finishing the first stage of work.

Later, the service schedule provides for the pbadage of vehicles Gironde, Soturno, Sambra, Monte Cristo, Caicara, Zumbi, Alto Eucalipto, Aberlardo Machado, Our Lady of Fatima, Santa Cecilia, New Park, Independence, Notre Dame Aparecida, Paradise, Yellow and Yellow. The operations take place according to two schedules: from 4:30 to 19:30 and from 17:30 to 21:00

One of the objectives of the action is the Culex ham, found in large quantities in the field collection carried out by the Technicians from the Entomology and Malaria Unit (Nemes) of the Zoonoses Surveillance Unit (formerly CCZ) of the municipality.

At the same time, smoke also helps to reduce the circulation of the mosquito Aedes aegypti, which is already the target of other permanent combat actions. The insect is the transmitter of dengue, chikungunya, zika virus and yellow fever, breeding at any time of the year, cold or heat and in stagnant water
