BRASÍLIA, DF (FOLAAPRESS) – Former Minister Geddel Vieira Lima (MDB-BA) was transferred Tuesday (26) to a cell where he will be isolated at Papuda Penitentiary in Brasília, after being charged with prison officer.
Permanence in the solitary call will initially be ten days. Geddel will not be able to tan and will only receive legal visits.
In a note, the undersecretary of the Federal District Prison System reported that the emedebista was isolated for disrespecting the officer in a personal magazine.
Geddel has been in detention since September of last year, after the federal police seized $ 51 million, which was awarded to him by the police, in a bunker in Salvador (BA). He was accused of diverting resources from state and public bodies.
Geddel's defense did not respond to a message sent Thursday by the report.
