In September of last year, Google announced that its social network would cease to exist in 2019 because of security vulnerability issues, which resulted in a leak of data of more than 52 million users. It is now confirmed that Google+ will be officially deactivated on April 2nd.
The functionality of the site will be progressively deactivated. On February 4th, it will no longer be possible to create new profiles, pages, communities and events. The comments section of Blogger will not work from March 7th.
The company gave community moderators the ability to download publications so that they could use the desired content before deactivation.
Google+ is a social network created in 2011 but has not avenged itself as Google predicted.
