How to hide the notch of your Android phone's screen

Since the launch of the iPhone X, many manufacturers have adopted the "notch", also called notch or even chamfered by some people. Although this is pretty and that it changes the style of the device, many manufacturers do not offer options to hide this detail that can disrupt the use of certain programs or be simply a nuisance.

Fortunately, thanks to the developers who participated in the XDA- a universal solution was created to hide this hack.

Contrary to what you can imagine to accomplish the task mentioned above, you do not need root on Android. However, it should be noted that the program adds a small black border at the top of the device, which can take up a bit of space on the screen, at least when items such as the percentage battery and clock are located.

Hide Notch Under Android

As stated above, running this task on Android is required to get a free program and requiring some permissions to boot. Here's how to get it and set it up:

1. Go to Google Play and download the Nacho Notch-Notch Hider app;
2. When you open it for the first time, read the terms of use,

   

After agreeing to the terms of use, note that the program closes all alone, but be aware that this is because it is installed in another part of the system. See:

1. On the Android home screen, open the notification bar and expand it;

   

2. Then press the icon represented by "three dots" and go to "Button Order";

   

3. Look for the "Hide Nick" in the list and add it to an available slot; in "Hide Notch", grant the necessary permissions for the program to work properly.

   

Ready! Now, whenever you need to hide Notch, just open the Android Notification Center and use the "Hide Notch" shortcut. In most cases, the application can already detect the size of the device notch to adapt to it automatically, but if it is not the case, its size can be changed in the app when you access its settings.
