An event opposing the group known as "yellow jackets" gathered about 10,500 protesters this Sunday (27) in Paris, France. The "red scarves" – so-called because of clothes such as scarves, scarves or other fabrics of this color – claimed to protest against "violence" and "in favor of democracy".
In addition to the red clothes, protesters wore T-shirts with statements such as "I love my republic" and "Stop the violence". There were also shouts of "Yes to democracy, not to the revolution", according to France Presse.

"France is an indivisible republic, secular, democratic and social." It was also possible to see, in addition to the French flags, symbols of the European Union.

The banners on the front lines of the demonstrations also avoided directly criticizing the "yellow vests". However, protesters told AFP that the "red handkerchiefs" movement opposed the scenes of violence observed during protests that have been going on since the end of last year.
One of the organizers of Sunday's march, Laurent Soulié, 51, said that "red handkerchiefs" represented "the silent majority that's been hidden in the house for 10 weeks".
Marie-Line, a 62-year-old Parisian suburbian nurse, told AFP that "it's not against the original idea [dos “coletes amarelos”] to protest a little" but that "verbal or physical violence".
The "yellows" were born from a mobilization against rising fuel prices. the measure, but the movement has embraced the discontent of the people from within and has started to have various demands.The protests take place every Saturday.A new rally of this group took place yesterday.
